2025 reefscape season
In REEFSCAPEâ„ presented by Haas, a new challenge debuting January 5, 2025, FIRST Robotics Competition teams will use their engineering skills to navigate a vast underwater arena while putting their ingenuity to the challenge by learning how to score various game pieces.
During our 2024-2025 water inspired robotics season, REEFSCAPE, we will celebrate the roles our engineering skills play in how we think and we will explore various environments with the technology that we can make ourselves. Robotics begin the game behind the barge on their respective sides of the field and once the challenge begins, both alliances compete to score algae in either the barge or the processor, score coral on the reef, and complete a deep or shallow climb in the barge before the match is over.
Our 2025 season robot, Jeff the Landshark, showcased innovative designs to signal our drivers and intricate ways to score game pieces. Jeff featured a claw, climbing mechanism, intake, and lime light sensors. Our team worked together to design and debate the best course of action to make an excellent robot until we came up with our final version.
