FIRST TECH CHALLENGE
It's way more than building robots. FIRST Tech Challenge teams (up to 15 team members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format.
Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team.
What is FIRST Tech Challenge?
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a small team program that consists of teams with up to 15 members. Teams work together to design, build, and program a robot by exploring advanced engineering concepts, brainstorming innovative ideas, and developing career-ready practices. The AvengerRobotics program started off with a small club consisting of 7 FTC teams with a total of 60 members. Now, our program has grown to have 14 teams with a total of over 100 members. Students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team. FTC encourages students to utilize teamwork, critical thinking, and other skills to come up with a robot to compete in a season full of fun and competition.
